What is Fusilier 18.3SL

• Trade name: Fusilier 18.3SL

• Manufacturer / Distributor: Hextar (Malaysia) among others. 

• Active ingredient: Imidacloprid 18.3 % w/w. 

• Formulation: Soluble Concentrate (SL) — i.e. a water-soluble concentrate that is diluted in water before spraying. 

• Mode of action: Systemic (and partly contact) insecticide, belonging to the neonicotinoid class. It works by being taken up into the plant and then affecting insects that feed on treated tissue (via ingestion) and some contact effect.

Important Qualities & Characteristics

• Because it's systemic, the chemical is absorbed by the plant and distributed internally, so insects feeding on treated parts will ingest the active chemical. This helps in controlling pests that feed from within or under leaf surfaces. 

• It also has contact action to some extent, which helps with insects on surfaces. 

• It provides lasting protection because the plant maintains the chemical for some time after application.
